Private Referrals

To access private Consultant or Diagnostic services a GP referral is required. Our General Practitioners are all experienced and can diagnose and treat a wide range of ailments. However, sometimes referral is required to a more specialised Consultant or Diagnostic service.

Consultant Referrals

As part of a GP appointment with The IGP a consultant referral is included at no extra charge. The IGP has longstanding relationships with the Private Hospitals and Consultants in the localities in which we practice, meaning our GP’s can refer to the most appropriate specialist Consultant in your area. If a referral is required our GP’s will raise the referral and our admin team will liaise directly with the Consultant to help arrange your appointment as swiftly and efficiently as possible.

Diagnostic Referrals

As part of a GP appointment with The IGP a diagnostic referral to a local private hospital is included for no extra charge. Our most common private diagnostic referrals we undertake are for X-Ray, MRI and CT Scans. Our admin team will process any referral for a diagnostic service to help arrange your appointment.

How do I book an appointment for a referral?

A GP appointment is required for a referral and the GP will only refer if they feel it is clinically required. GP appointments can be booked as below:
